FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chicago – November 13, 2006 –The Cappelli Institute of Music, a private music school in the west suburbs of Chicago will present a Benefit Concert at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3rd at The Nineteenth Century Club, 178 Forest Ave., Oak Park, IL.  Proceeds from the concert will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The concert will feature performances by Cappelli Institute faculty members including Jeffrey and Jennifer Cappelli, Dr. John Gibbons, Suzanne Nance, Keumsoo Cho & a dedicated student of the Cappelli Institute.  Mark Cappelli will also perform.  Performances are in voice, piano & violin.

The Cappelli Institute of Music, which has held the Benefit Concert for many years, is committed to community outreach and proudly supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.    St. Jude is the single largest center in the United States for the treatment and research of childhood catastrophic diseases, such as cancer and pediatric AIDS. Children are treated without regard to race, religion or ability to pay. The hospital covers all costs not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. Research findings discovered at St. Jude are freely shared with doctors and scientists around the world.

The program will feature the performances as mentioned and representatives from St. Jude will be in attendance.  St. Jude patient families from the Chicagoland area will also be invited to attend.  Piano performances will be given on a renowned Fazioli piano courtesy of Thomas Zoells & the Pianoforte Chicago piano dealership. Compositions by Liszt, Chopin, Debussy, Scriabin, Ravel and others will be featured.

As a very special gift, an anonymous donor and friend of St. Jude has ordered the gift of a piano restoration to a model M Steinway Grand Piano which will later be donated to St. Jude for their use.  The restoration work is being performed at Renaissance Craftsmen Restoration Inc. in Forest Park, IL.

Ticket cost for the concert is $25.00.  Tickets for children under the age of 12 and senior citizens are $10 each.  Tickets are available at the Cappelli Institute of Music at 121 S. Marion St., Oak Park, IL. or at the door prior to the concert.
